We had posted some questions to Kayalvizhi as a part of his #ATAMyStory
1. Why do you think speaking at #doppa2020 really matters to you?
I am a tech enthusiast. I like to attend conferences where I learn a lot from many like-minded people. The point reached when I wanted to speak in external events; I started the journey a year back, given couple of talks in local meetups. Then I started submitting abstracts for conferences and this is the second conference where my proposal got accepted, I am feeling happy about it as it opens up the platform for budding speakers like me.
2. Do you think that organizations and individuals should promote virtual learnings special in the current situation?
Yes, of course. Excluding the goodness of personal touch, factors like energy, time & money – all are saved in virtual events and this is the best time to invest in learning via virtual medium.
3. While practice makes all of us perfect, share an everyday practice that has made things better for you at work?
I solve chess puzzle every day. It motivates me to consider any problem be it technical or non-technical as a challenge and I move towards finding the solution.
4. Anything else you want to share
My very first abstract was selected for MariaDB OpenWorks 2020, international event but I was upset when it got cancelled due to the covid-19. But the virtual events are really motivating, and distance does not really matter anymore.
